SPOILER ALERT.  If you were trapped in a cave over the weekend and still have not watched the season finale of Game of Thrones, do not listen to this episode.

Season 7 is over! Now, we wait… and rumor has it that it might be 2 years!? until the final season of the most popular show on the planet, Game of Thrones.  Since the show first aired, immediately everyone started to take sides.  Were you: Team Dany, Team Stark, or just Anti Lannister?  Seven seasons have passed, we are now left with fewer choices, and perhaps a union of two of the houses.  Now what?  The white walkers are through the wall, and all hell is about to break loose.  I sit down with my friend Patrick Lugo to discuss the books, the films, the phenomenon, and more! It’s time for a major geek out on Game of Thrones.

Patrick Lugo illustrated this awesome art for our episode! Titled: “Beyond the Wall”

  1. Hi Mimi and Patrick,
Very interesting show! I really enjoyed listening to you geek-out about GoT. Luckily, I am caught up to date, more or less. We’re finally seeing the plots that were introduced in the first few seasons, come full-circle in season 7. I’m definitely excited for next season. Patrick, I totally agree about that suffering and redemption thing you pointed-out. This is a common formula but one that was always missing in earlier GoT seasons. It’s interesting that it kind of has a new spin, and leaves us wondering if some characters are going to get redemption or not. And, like Mimi, pointed-out, some characters we are rooting for their redemption, even though they are kind of morally corrupt, or have shown to be in the past. Anyway, really interesting show. Thanks for the different perspectives.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    • Hi Andrew, thanks for your feedback and thoughts. We had a great time discussing the themes and can really spend several hours dissecting this fascinating show. Thank you for sharing your perspective. We will all have to wait 2 more years now for the conclusion! Painful!
