My week would be incomplete without my weekly chat with Greg Rucka.  I’ve been having these conversations with Greg since April 1st during the covid19 pandemic.

We’ve discussed everything from current events to comic book characters. (Greg knows a thing or two about both)  Today we dive into listener questions!  Thanks to our listeners who submitted questions – please keep them coming.

Greg and I talk about writing for mature audiences verses younger audiences, and how this has shaped the industry.  We also discuss his true ending to Wonder Woman, and what might be coming in the new film Wonder Woman 1984.  I also had fun picking his brain about his thoughts on superhero films, being that he is now moving into screenplays, with his first movie out this summer, The Old Guard starring Charlize Theron and an all star cast.

I’m loving these conversations and hope you are too.  If you are, please rate my podcast on our platform of choice!  If you would like to support with a donation, you can become a patron of the show by visiting website or Patreon.com and donate as little as $1 per month. Thanks for the support!  I appreciate it.

  2. Thank you so much for answering my question. I’ve been wanting to ask that to Mr. Rucka for a number of years.

I would be curious knowing how future writers like Gail Simone added to the lasso of truth’s powers being able to look into one’s soul and Judd Winick adding to Max’s backstory in Justice League: Generation Lost, his relationship with his mother and her death leading to him follow down the dark path he went. I would be curious to see another confrontation where Diana takes down Max in a non lethal manner using that knowledge of Max’s personal past against him since Diana didn’t have that knowledge the first time. Since as Rucka states later in the podcast about his worry regarding Wonder Woman 1984 is that in 2020, we don’t need a grim story where Diana snaps Maxwell Lord’s neck.
