I am trying to contain my excitement today…  I had the honor of interviewing the legendary Stan Sakai. For those of you who are not falling out of your chair, this means you don’t read comics.  For those of you who just fainted, you know Stan as the creator of Usagi Yojimbo.

Usagi is a beloved samurai rabbit who is celebrating his 35thanniversary this year!  I am a huge fan of Stan’s work and an avid reader of Usagi.  If you love samurai stories, feudal Japan, or ninjas – this comic is for you! It was great learning more about the history of Japan and talking to Stan about his creative process.

Stan also has an exciting announcement which is revealed in this podcast!

I am so grateful that Stan took the time to discuss all things Usagi with me. He was unbelievably gracious and kind. If you have never read a comic, start with this one. Not just because it is awesome, but because it has been an ongoing series for 35 years and is made with love and passion.

I have the utmost respect for Stan Sakai and am honored to have been able to conduct this interview.

As always, please help support this podcast by SHARING and RATING it.  If you would like to support with a donation, you can become a patron of the show by visiting my website or Patreon.com so I can keep sharing these awesome interviews with you.

Special Thanks to Stan for allowing me to pose with Usagi!
